What gets on us gets IN us. After the compound effect over time, it then gets to the gut and cellular level and then it becomes us, making a tremendous hormonal impact on all of our systems.
I learned this and then got territorial about my topicals and skin care (hair products, perfumes, soaps, spray tans, sunscreen, make-up, air fresheners, lotions, tooth paste, etc.) about 18 months ago and it’s really made a big impact now all this time later.
I’ve really evolved to actually be quite the naturalist…and I feel great! Again, this is why I do NOT believe in weight loss. It goes so much deeper than the calorie and the scale.

“If you are using cosmetic products, then congratulations, you are an unwitting guinea pig. We simply don’t know what the effects might be.
It is important to understand, that of the 10,500 ingredients used in your sunscreen, shampoo, makeup foundation, and so on, only 13 percent have been reviewed for safety in the last 30 years, according to an Environmental Working Group (EWG) analysis.
Not all ingredients need even be mentioned on the label—if they don’t want to include one for some reason, they can just leave it off.
Therefore, most personal care product formulations are based on nothing more than marketing success, designed to smell good, look good and feel good when you rub them on your skin, regardless of their impact on your health.”
