Cutting up and preparing some of my daily colors! Last night I got into bed and my husband said, “You smell like cauliflower.” Well, I am what I eat. <I take his comment as a compliment!>

These words from Stephen Gundry’s “Plant Paradox” are quite possibly pivotal in food-choice understanding. This is why we do what we do and how to change it!
“Point #1: What you stop eating has far more impact on your health than what you start eating.
All disease begins in the gut. If you stop damaging your gut <with what you’re eating>, you’ll be healthier overall.
Your gut biome <the bacteria and environment from your mouth to the end of your colon> accounts for 90% of the cells that make you who you are and contains 99% of all the genetic material that makes you ‘you’. So what goes on in your gut doesn’t stay in your gut.”
**My 2 cents: It literally impacts your entire system…for years!**
“Point #2: Pay attention to the care and feeding of your gut bugs and they will handle the care and feeding of you. You are THEIR home!
Give the gut bacteria what they want and no one gets hurt. There is a virtual wasteland in our gut. Years of using antibiotics, antacids, OTC pain killers, plus the high-fat, high-sugar Western diet, have determined the environment of our guts <and also what we crave and choose!>
In this scenario, only the bad gut bugs can survive and thrive off of what you throw down to them. The bad bugs demand more sugar, refined carbs and refined fats…known as junk food.
So like in #1, if we stop feeding them what they thrive on, they leave town.”
**My 2 cents: Then you start to change from the inside out. It worked for me!**
