I Do Not Believe in Weight Loss!

When I coach general fitness and competitor clients, I tell them “I do not have a weight loss program.” I teach lifestyle resets.

I get a baseline of one’s current intake and life systems and then we set up a plan and practice it from there. In time, new habits evolve, we establish a new hormonal and gut environment, and THEN the body makes a positive response. It is slow, but we have to lay a firm foundation first.

I do not personally chase, nor teach weight loss. Yes, that happens in time. I promote health and wellness for the long haul. Then my systems stick.

Anyone who comes in wanting to “just lose weight” never really makes it very far with me. That is outside-in and not an inside-out way of thinking. They usually beat themselves up saying, “I messed up” or “What am I doing wrong?” and it is my role to help them understand the concept on the front end.

When we work a whole-life system reset, the change is happening from within and you can’t see it. In the case of a gal just chasing “weight loss”, she is instead using the scale as the only measure of success.

Try as you may, the body doesn’t work like that! #trusttheprocess
