Picture Update:
Not showing my contest suit yet…it’s in, but it’s for the stage!
Yes…you can see my skin removal scar. It’s me and I’ve embraced it!
High reps, low weight in effect this week. Mind over matter…it gets tufffff at the end!
Sick kiddos this week, so I had to break out the bands and mirror to get a workout in at home. Always have a Plan B!
One of my ALL TIME favorite things to do is to lift with my husband! Best dates ever!
I’m on a revamp for the way the family eats. Out with the processed and in with the real!
A sneak peak at our:
Pantry-little processed, mainly whole foods (this takes time to practice and adjust to!)
Fridge-protein shake and breakfast prepped for the AM, coconut milk instead of dairy, Ezekiel Bread, eggs, fresh fruits and veggies, kids’ meals packed for the next day
Island-I try to keep the potatoes and fruit easily accessible for the fam
A look at a breakfast for the crew (NOT ME…too many carbs!) I’ve gotten my diet down pat, so now I’m moving on to getting it tuned up for them!
French toast on Ezekiel Bread made in coconut milk and egg; garnished with fresh fruit
Easter was Sunday and this was the meal I weighed, prepped and tracked to take with me. I honestly had more food on my plate than the others I was with, but calorically, it was probably half as much. Just sticking to the plan!
My treat! Measured almond butter and celery. I don’t track the celery because it’s mainly water and I use it to keep me full in hungry times!
If my posts and journey can inspire at least one person to go for something that scares them, then my mission is complete!
….as always, never forget where you started! October 2009 at 225lbs

Thank you! I used to be a runner and LOVED it. I ran competitively in my younger days and coached while I was teaching. I ran several 5Ks last year and did pretty well. My best time was 23:04 and had a 6:30 first mile on one of my races! My trainer cut my running OFF when I got in Contest Prep so as not to eat the hard-earned muscle. Thanks for the feedback and follow!

Thank you! I’m still losing weight and the more I eat, the more I lose. We really don’t want that at this point, but with a lower body fat and higher muscle content, it’s what happens. I’m sooo loving this journey. Thanks for the feedback! I’m mentally and physically ready to get.on.stage! Thank you!
