Oats and I are best friends lately. In the past, it has really been that “it” food for adding muscle tissue to my frame (with routine training, of course!). It’s great for pre or post-workout nutrient timing and gives me energy to train.
Today is an intentional higher-carb day and I had some “carb ground” to make up. We created this recipe and it hit the spot. I would also suggest adding stevia and cinnamon to the mixture for some added flavor!
You had me at waffle!
Recipe Note: You can vary the amount of oat flour. I later dropped this back to 1 cup (90 grams) and kept all else the same. I also added cinnamon, stevia, and cacao powder and they get a chocolately flavor to them. This recipe overall is a GREAT way to make waffles and get that comfort food taste WITHOUT all the added sugars, additives, and fillers.
Oatmeal waffles….Eat up and enjoy!
