I enjoyed a tootsie pop and decided to track it for my own accountability. Ate it, then looked it up…holy 15 carbs! It was “just” a sucker!
I had room and just let it be. A tootsie pop is no big deal and I’m not calling this “bad”, but spending 15 carbs on a tootsie pop is 8% of my day’s carb allotment. Some days it’s worth it and some days it’s not. Today I decided it was a sucker day!
But imagine if I had 4 randomly through the day. That adds up fast and would impact my plan! As we get closer to Halloween, I challenge you to look up the stats of your favorite treat just so you are fully aware of the reality of your choices.
