We are getting ready to load the plane! Heading to ‪NYC‬ for 3 days, so many people ask, “How do I ‪travel‬ and keep the ‪‎balance‬ of my fit plan and fun fare?” I’ll show you what works for me!

Travel Tip #1: Prepare!
I had about 60 ounces of ‪‎water‬ between when I woke and on my way to the airport. I need to front load my volume because on the plane I won’t drink much and ‪hydration‬ is a big focal point when I’m on the road. If I’m hydrated, I have ‪‎energy‬ and my ‪digestion‬ stays ‪consistent‬. Take my water away and this gal’s in trouble!

I had my AM ‪coffee‬ with 4g of ‪‎coconut oil‬ to get some ‪‎healthy fats‬ in. Now while I wait to board, I dig in to meal 1 which is beef, walnuts and green salsa.

I also like to keep about 10-15g of walnuts in my purse so I have something on hand in case we don’t eat for awhile. Dips in blood sugar are really hard on our systems and mindset, so having those or almonds and raisins, for example, are great to keep me fueled for a few hours down the road.

If I did choose to eat in the airport this AM, I would avoid grains and sugars and instead go higher fat and protein like bacon and eggs. Then I enter‪ carbs‬ in later in my day.

Traveling can be fun and adventurous and you don’t have to “mentally park” on your ‪progress‬ until you get back home. This is a daily lifestyle and not one with an on/off switch as life gets full.

Let’s face it. Life will always be full and scheduled, so I choose to keep the fit-life systems every step of the way. ‪‎Consistency‬ and ‪rhythm‬ are my best friends!

Watch a video message HERE about how I prepared for a vacation!

If I can come alongside as a Coach for your journey, I’d love to be part of your team!
