It’s about being around like-minded people who have similar fitness interests as you. It’s about joining classes, swim teams, running groups, getting a lifting partner, or Zumba or Spinning buddy to show up with you. It’s way too easy to cancel a workout when you’re going at it alone! You have to show up when you’ve promised to save a bike, bench, or spot in class for a friend!
Workout together and have fun while doing it! Our Santa Slam 2011 at the Fishers YMCA in central Indiana drew in nearly 145 people looking to workout and bring in the holiday season. Pictured here are a few friends, one of my hardcore favorite instructors (the Tree), and the Elf (me!) all smiling pretty before the fun began!
A packed house for 2 hours of sweaty fun brought in reports of anywhere from 1100-1800 calories burned from these Fit Gals and Guys! So fun, so fast, who even knew we were working out?!!
