A few of my kids have food and environmental allergies and I take them to a lady who practices NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique). I can’t really explain it too well, but it involves holistic practice using accupressure. The gal I see takes common allergens in little viles and can identify what you’re allergic to and then if you choose, treat you to eliminate the allergy. Her name is Jude Boutwell and I’ve posted her contact info in the picture below.
I had been questioning some foods that bothered me, but I really didn’t know for sure. I had some extra sugar post workout two days last week and then tanked emotionally and mentally soon after. I got the bright idea after that episode to go see Jude and find out for sure which foods were a fit for me instead of my guessing and experimenting around. I spent a morning collecting all the foods I eat and came prepared with a plan. As Jude held the food up to my body and determined if it were problematic or optimal for me, I would then separate it into the white bag (good to eat) or the black bag (steer clear, bad for MY system). 90% of what I brought in was digestible by my system and optimal for my training.
However, I found the following foods that were NOT good for me to eat, ever!
Wheat, dairy, soy, corn, white potatoes, and sugar-I knew all those, but it was good to confirm what I thought
These were the shockers that also made the NO list: olive oil, chicken, fruit and fruit powders, honey
I’m SO happy to just know what sets well with my body. I don’t feel restricted, but rather liberated in knowing what I can eat and what fuels me for more energy, greater strength, a healthy weight and lowered body fat. Without knowing for sure, it was me against me and when you’re aiming for an improved physique and wellness, you have to know what works for you!
I truly believe that America as a nation is unknowingly killing itself. We ingest foods all day long that are not only unhealthy in general but unfit for our own systems. Then we spend hours upon hours in the gym trying to change our bodies, but not realizing that we keep putting the problem (food wise) in on a daily basis. Therefore, people are walking around inflamed and bloated from the foods they eat. However, I understand that some people maybe just don’t want to know. They’d rather enjoy an endless variety of food than know if it hurts or helps them. I get that, but in due time, I hope and pray that many people will want to find out more about themselves and help their bodies be prime for optimal wellness!
