Sometimes I’m amazed at how some people think so little of themselves. I was in a group recently and the few gals I was with were talking so negatively of themselves AND it showed through in their body language….shoulders turned in, head down, slumped forward. I just wanted to reach out, hold them square in the shoulders and say, “You’ve got this. Believe in what you’re doing and own it!”
Another gal said recently to me, “Thanks so much for believing in me!” I was honored by her comment and then I thought to myself, “But do YOU believe in YOU?” To me that’s more important.
I’m learning that in all arenas of life: relationships, fitness, working towards our goals, job performance, and of course sports achievement, the strength of one’s confidence and daily self talk plays a huge, tremendously big role. I love the line, “Where the mind goes, the body follows.” So if you’re wanting to get to some amazing results in your life, you have to believe in YOU first!
Visualize where you want to be, practice for success, research your focus, and get to know others in your field or desire. Whatever it takes, make it happen or change course for a new goal towards something you know you can achieve. Regardless, quit thinking so little of yourself and stop putting negative energy on a pedestal. When you believe in yourself FIRST, you’ll be amazed at what you can do. Think it, then do it!
