I made a Facebook post this week about attending a strength class. A gal commented, “I want to attend, but that class scares me!” My response, “Then that’s all the more reason to show up and try it!” Another gal was in a conversation about being fearful of attending a Zumba class because she didn’t know the moves. You will never know the moves unless you show up and try! In Real Estate we say, “Your home can’t sell if it’s not on the market!” You can’t get stronger if you’re not in strength class or lifting weights, just as you can’t learn the Zumba moves if you don’t give yourself a chance to learn!Relative to fitness, getting uncomfortable for you might be changing up your classes or activities, or even going back to a class that scared you away before. It might be signing up for a race or competition. It might be trying a new food or recipe that will benefit your diet. The point is, think about what you really don’t want to be doing and then go tackle it! You’ll be so proud of you!
Change does not come in our comfort. It comes in our discomfort! I believe the beginning of our potential lies just within the realm of discomfort…..Go get it!
