Happy May 1! Who’s ready to do work this month?
I’m now 17 and 18 weeks out from my next Figure shows and I will say that over this last building season I discovered and have truly enjoyed the power of glute training after following the “Glute Guy”, Bret Contreras. By genetics, I’ve always had a very flat booty, so I’ve had to work to add muscle (because that’s what the glutes are!) to bring those up….and it will be an ongoing work in progress!
It’s a very slow, diligent process and takes lots of time under tension to add muscle and eventually lower your body fat so you can see the curve you desire on your frame. Diet is also a huge part of that, too.
As Brett says in one of his recent posts, you have to forego the 30-day (or even 12-week) challenges to get the results you desire. Quit comparing yourself to the fitness models and athletes you see online. They’ve been at this for YEARS. It just takes time and consistency in the kitchen and weight room to change your physique.

“I know you want a great butt in 30 days, but it takes more time than that. I can guarantee that the woman with your dream butt spent more than 30 days to shape her glutes. You’ll look better each month as your glutes get stronger and get more accustomed to the workouts, but you have to make glute training a habit.” -Brett (His full post:https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=791779157584259&id=196219527140228)

The more I learn and practice the better I can help train and teach my in-person and online training clients. So let’s partner and build a great booty together!
